“Love Hurts”-Single Review
By Leslie Snyder
Heartache oozes out of Brighton, England from an independent blues/country artist named Dani Wilde. Dani Wilde gives a fresh soulful sound to the “heart wrenching” single “Love Hurts” which was originally sung by The Everly Brothers in 1960. Dani Wilde’s version of the single will be released on December 15, 2013. This version has fresh, “rustic” southern melodies with “angelic,” but sorrowful vocals and light piano melodies. This track sounds like a woman has been sitting in a dark room and weeping for days over a painful breakup with her boyfriend.
Love can be a beautiful thing, but it can also be very painful when a couple realizes that they can no longer be together for whatever reason. People must learn from this type of experience and move on and become wiser so that people will not keep getting their hearts broken. Dani Wilde gives the single “Love Hurts” a cool and honest sound with excellent vocal qualities. Dani Wilde is a great independent blues/country artist who is relevant to today’s music scene she will be around for years to come.
