Flying Cape Experience
“Let’s Sing More about the Eyes”
By Leslie Snyder
A peaceful scene comes out of Flying Cape, Finland from an unsigned psychedelic pop rock duo called Flying Cape Experience. This “sense tingling” duo sounds similar to AH HA and Electric Light Orchestra with their “breezy” psychedelic pop rock melodies that will put a smile on one’s face. Flying Cape Experience released their debut CD “Let’s Sing More about the Eyes” in February 2013 featuring ten emotionally intense tracks about peace and heartache in life and how people choose to deal with adversity.
The peaceful journey begins with the ninth track “7 Swans.” This track features “angelic” vocals and “airy” psychedelic pop rock melodies, along with the light sound of a piano “floating” throughout the track. This track is a mellow tale about the tranquility of nature with swans swimming on a beautiful lake with birds “chirping” above them in a bright blue sky.
Finally, the peaceful journey ends with heartache in the tenth track “Try.” This track features soft, “chanting” vocals and “weeping” psychedelic pop rock melodies. This track is a heartbreaking tale about a couple who is desperately attempting to fix their “shattered” relationship. However, the troubled couple realizes that they can no longer be together.
Flying Cape Experience is a great unsigned psychedelic pop rock duo that mixes classical melodies with “mind numbing” pop rock melodies that will brighten up a bad day in about thirty seconds. Flying Cape Experience debut CD “Let’s sing more about the Eyes” reminds people to appreciate Mother Nature’s beauty and to be respectful to one another.
