“A New Level of Neon”
By Leslie Snyder
Happiness floats out of Los Angeles, California from an independent psychedelic love metal quartet called The Carrions. The Carrions sing songs about living life to the fullest and having no regrets. The Carrions sound similar to classic rock icons Led Zeppelin with their soulful vocals and “breezy” psychedelic rock melodies. This fun loving quartet released their latest CD “A New Level of Neon” on March 1, 2013 featuring eleven mellow tracks that will surely put a smile on one’s face.
The hopeful journey begins with the first track “Feel Like this.” This track features soulful vocals and rough psychedelic rock melodies. This track is a heartwarming tale about a woman who is happy to be in a loving relationship. The woman’s boyfriend is an “easy going” person. Meanwhile, the sun continues to shine in the second track “I Feel Alive.” This track features soulful vocals and “breezy” psychedelic rock melodies. This track is a peaceful tale about a woman who is feeling great while she is singing and entertaining a lively crowd on a beautiful day.
Finally, the hopeful journey ends with uncertainty in the fourth track “On the Mend.” This track features soulful vocals and “weeping” psychedelic rock melodies. This track is a reflective tale about a woman who is recovering from a painful breakup. The woman is unsure about finding love again, but she is going to relax and find some peace and quiet.
The Carrions are a great mellow independent psychedelic love metal quartet that is passionate about their craft. The CD “A New Level of Neon” tells people to have fun and rock out.
